I like these units but unfortunately they don't get used often. What have you guys been doing with them on the board?

I have had success with multiple heralds of khorne using naked bloodcrushers (or hounds lol) as a shield. You can have a tzeentch herald nearby to give cursed earth or belakor for a bigger squad with invis. The multiple khorne herlards are very capable as single units. They can detach from the main squad and charge weaker units.

Plague drones. Again I find that most of the time you don't need that much assault power to be effective with so many shooty armies around. This unit like all nurgle units can abuse cover but theres eldar and tau D: . I've been running a single squad of around 5-6 with the 3+ poison but never seem to get much out of them. Unlike the khorne stuff they don't do that much damage in CC.

Any unit/composition suggestions?

I've had some limited success running Plague Drones in a disruption and deep-strike runway function.

Step 1. Give Plague Drones the no-scatter beacon

Step 2. Run Plague Drones up the board, jinking to enjoy that succulent 2+ cover save. If facing Tau keep them out of LoS first turn. With their jet-pack movement and speed, you should be able to reach whatever cover LoS-blocker on the board you want turn 1.

Step 3. Rain down non-scattering GUO's and other nonsense in opponent's deployment zone.

gg

You can sorta/kinda do the same thing with Bloodcrushers, bit not nearly as well. They really are frustrating units, with their ass durability and their price. Nothing lulzier than watching your 30+ppm unit get reduced to ash by some lascannons or missile launchers.

Plague drones are really good for summoning in a daemon factory (they get to make their jet movement).

Plague drones can also make a death star with epidemius and some appropriate long range nurgle killers to pump up the kill count (not bad but stuggles in the new knight meta).

Blood crushers are not bad with karnatak to give them scout and they got a bit better with the addition of the CSM sicaran with the legacy that gives all khorne daemon units within 6" of the tank +1 to their invulnerable saves.

Thought they could, maybe I was thinking of Jetbikes.

Ah well, they've still got shrouded, which is almost as good. Stick em in ruins and soak up the lulz.
