Hey guys I've been slowly building a. Dark Eldar force to ally with my Eldar or bring separately. I'd love to bring grotesques, wracks, some talos and cronos. Maybe a void raven bomber and then a couple of raiders with kana lite warriors in them. Does that sound competitive? Maybe a squad of scourges or mandrakes? But mostly I'd like my army to consist of flesh constructs because I love the look of them.

Necrons - 6000+
Eldar/DE/Harlequins- 6000+
Genestealer Cult - 2000
Currently enthralled by Blanchitsu and INQ28.

No suggestions? Is it competitive?

No that's a excellent choice to bring along with Eldar.

Here's something that's particularly nice.

Grotesquirie Coven Formation

1 Haemonoculus or Urien

2 Units of Grotesques

The Haemy can get a WWP and go with some Firedragons or Wraithguard.

The Grotesques are excellent to be put into Raiders that can zoom on turn two and be where you need them for a Turn 3 charge.

Another great formation for Eldar to take would be the Dark Artisan formation, fantastic unit, Talos , Chronos , Haemy that can deep strike if the Haemy takes a WWP.

Yet another would be the Talos formation 5 Talos with Scout, and since they are Battle Brothers with Eldar, they can be buffed by Psychic Spells like Invisibility.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.

I would say the Void Raven and Mandrakes are not competitive.
Wracks are kind of a...meh 'not bad' sort of unit. They'll combo okay with Eldar though.

Grots, Scourges, and Warriors (and their transports) are all pretty darn solid and even offer some solid options to Eldar. Talos can be pretty solid in their formations also.
Definitely if you just want a flavor of Coven in an already existing army, as Hollismason said, the formations from the Coven Supplement are a good way to go.

I've not used them but I think Mandrakes are probably pretty decent as an objective holder. Just keep it a basic three-man unit and hide them on an objective.

Grotesques can be nasty especially with the PfP table from the Coven book. Wracks are pretty bad if just taken from the codex, probably ok from the Covens book.

The thing is, do we need that as DE and how does it particularly help me win?

Because, yeah, that's just 36 points. But...I sort of feel I could find a better use for 36 points. That's +1 Grot, that's +2 Blasters. It might be worth taking as an oddball option if you had a perfectly fine tuned list otherwise and were sitting on 36 points, but I really think rolling those points back into other units will leave you with a superior army than taking the Mandrake objective camp option.

If you were planning on a absolute Beta Strike to push the game to turn 2 they would not be a bad choice as a cheap unit to place on the board for survivability.

I'd be way too freaked out by drop pods with a flamer or two to try that gak. I'd Scalpel Squad first
