So as was at the Warhammer Fest earlier in the month, decided to get myself a pack of zombies from the Vampire Counts to start up my army that would be based on the House of Blood from the game Undead Knights as you can see below here are the first 5 completed onto a complete movement tray and if that tray needs bit more flock let me know (as unsure if was to be on sides of it as well so just did top) so here they are for all to see and enjoy







So here are the first out of what is to be many more zombies, will update as each new 5 or possible full block is completed

Zombies with a slight killer monkey look to some but it has a odd way of working

Look nice for basic foitsloggwers though :-) , there basically guardsmen meat sheilds in fantasy.

Aye they are going to be the core of my Vampire Count army and maybe (if get swayed of mind about it) get two packs of skeletons as side army of skeletal forces so got one pure zombie and one pure skeleton

how'd you make your movement trays?

Actually got mine from Ebay, got a magnetized one that fits 40 on I think so each model has a tiny magnet under it to keep any accidental falls off table and movement tray from happening.

Time for some more Zombies just in time for the Christmas beginnings lol so here are the growing horde that begin to shuffle their way to the streets or most people who dragged out of house at crack of dawn lol






So hope to get more ready and shown to you in due time but also now working on Christmas Project in a Blog so spreading time to doing both that and these zombies.

What's with the yellow gloves on banner?
Kind of remind !e of washing up gloves?

They are freshly rotting hands and torso as got a medical person in family, was told the stages of decomposition and the earlier signs of rotting skin is creamy / yellow colour, so went on the realistic views of it.

Agh maybe the flash too, looking closely I can see its more detailed than I thought at first.

Yep as zombies require more detail via washes and faint highlights to bring out that rotten look lol

Yeah, flesh is hard, dead flesh even harder to do.

Lots of detail on models you kill by the dozen on battlefield.

I like to make each one look like the part, wouldn't be same if there were all but one clean zombie lol

I like them. I too thought the hands looked a little like marigolds, but hey, even Zombies have to wash dishes. Right?

Think the flash on the camera used didn't help show the rotting effects 100% with the standard lol

So after New Year and weeks onwards, finally got round and started to focus more on my lovely Vampire Counts as tonight I bring you my newest hero (or Anti Hero in this case) to the House of Blood based horde... the Necromancer which decided to call him Fredrick, so say Heya to Fredrick!



So there we have it for now, hopefully with this Necromancer at my side, we may be bringing you the final zombies hopefully before next weekend if my backlog decreases at its current pace

Had anybody else got Thriller playing in their head, when looking at the first set of pictures?

Very nice though I'd say a small bit of discolouration to edges of frayed cloak, like it got caught in mud or such as cloiaks can do.
Nothing big just a minor dust layer or iodd darker area

Now you come to mention it It does look like they are listening to that song... so that is what zombies do when no one is watching lol

Aha I see how that could bring the old man's robe out, will do that when doing a whole dry brushing of muddy effects and such as got some other models that need same doing.

If you're looking for a cheap way to fill the ranks, Mantic Games' Undead are quite good, but their ghouls are damn brilliant. Plus they're much cheaper! Keep up the good work!

Thanks Akhilleus! Yeah have got a pack of them zombies here but they are for a different Blog Project, may get some more as they do look really well made and so many for the pound.

Will certainly get least one or two packs of them kind when reach Southern sections just out of Empire (or used to be Empire) borders as they look very much like outsiders and turned into zombies

At long last to all who wondering "Where is your main Lord who would rule over this army" well here he is after his completion and his base now 100% done.

Here is my Vampire Lord Morde Von Blood (AKA rough translation "Murder Von Blood" in German first word)



The cloak was green stuff made and so was his blade over an actual sword to help its modelling over (not that good of green stuff sculpting swords without a base to work round) If want to know more about this guy, just ask or view my Vampire Count based Blog for a bit more knowledge about him as showing image there too.

Its missing somthing, I do not know what but there is somthing more this needs.

I've being looking over him as well all day but can't think for life in me what it is I don't know lol

But prob will figure what it is sometime or other as always do in end lol

So finally yesterday got the entire zombies that started just before Christmas finally completed along with bases (Please don't do a Groundhogs day on me now life lol) and can very gladly show you all the fruits of my labour of the first 20 Zombies completed with detail work shown.

Also the Standard Bearer and the Musician when came back to them after leaving them to prepare putting them onto movement tray the skin sections of the Standard itself, the leg and Symbol held by the Musician seemed to of rotted even more but must be my imagination so take a look all and can't wait to hear any comments about them!






P.S whilst they were all kept together, could swear heard Thriller playing late at night in same room they were in lol

Looking good, maybe there playlist included I'm shuffling lol

Will have to keep an ear out as they are now on the same level of house as my room is lol
