Title says it all. Looking to build a 300pt Nomads list, and I want to make sure I'm covering all my bases, without spending points needlessly. All comments and criticism welcome.
Thanks!!

Looks decent. I'd probably include a Prowler instead of a engineer. Vertigo Zond is a bit of an odd choice.

Why, and which build? I'm under the impression that engineers are needed for some objectives, is this wrong?

Engineers classify as specialists in ITS so they can capture objectives and have a shot at completing two classified missions. In my experience you rarely get the chance to mend broken REM or TAG. REM are frail and tend to be shut down without any particular problem. Opponent is likely to finish the TAG or you'll eject your guy and continue on. Forward Observer, hacker, engineer, chain of command are options that are always specialists. ITS also has certain conflict scenarios, where specialists are handy but don't have the dominant role. Prowler is nice, since he has D-charges and starts on table. I'm a bit afraid your original list will be focus starved.

I'm not familiar with Nomads but I think you're telegraphing your Lt. there. As she has HD+, she'll be a priority target. Protect her well. Also, who is that zondbot synched with?

Unaware I had to synch the zondbot to someone, I just threw it in there because I had 3 points left over.
If I drop the engi, Zondbot, and a pupnik, I come up with the following:
Nomads | 9 models
________________________________________________________
Reverend Custodier Lieutenant (38|0.5)
Tomcat Doctor+zond (28|0)
Zondcat
Moran Combi (21|0.5)
Sin-Eater Spitfire (32|1.5)

Pupnik (1|0)
Pupnik (1|0)
Vertigo Zond GML (34|1)
Iguana (73|2)
Zero Minelayer (19|0.5)
Prowler Shotgun (32|0)

Something else I'm struggling with is the Iguana, it seems like a point-sink.

It sort of is. It's rather inflexible option and presents heavy investment in terms of points, orders, money but it's not strictly useless. Its performance varies between the scenarios. Personally would probably opt to go with Intruder and Grenzer (new unit). Both units give you MSV, something that's rather handy to have. Nomads | 9 models ________________________________________________________ Reverend Custodier Lieutenant (38|0.5) Zero Minelayer (19|0.5) Zero Observer (21|0) Prowler Shotgun (32|0) Sin-Eater Spitfire (32|1.5) Intruder HMG (44|1.5) Moran Observer (24|0.5) Tomcat Doctor+zond (28|0) Zondcat Chimera (21|0) Pupnik (1|0) Pupnik (1|0) Pupnik (1|0) ________________________________________________________ 262/300 points | 4.5/6 swc Enough points to include the new unit or maybe Lunokhod, if you fancy REM. GML could also work with two standard observers and marker/ HD+ combo.

It looks like hacking is going to become more offensive in N3. If that is true then some cheap repeaters might be handy. I'm tempted to pick up the Tunguska Interventors with the Fastpandas as my next Nomad buy.

I'm really liking the intruder sniper, I'm not sold on two minelayer zeros but I had the points. I'm considering dropping a pupnik to make one of the minelayers an observer.

I would keep the Zeros minelayers but drop the Vertigo Zond, the FO Moran is still good in N3 anyone get BS+3 to shot a marked target and Flash Pluse got better. Then add a Lunokhod (good for enemy mines and great for backfeild Lt. defense. Then with the extra point upgrade the Sin Eater to the HMG.

I'd also keep the minelayers. They're really powerful, being able to stall the opponent from the objectives from deployment point on.

Alright, taking all of the above advice into account, my list now looks like this:

With the changes coming to N3, specifically the buffs to link teams, snipers, and shotguns, I'm torn regarding the Sin-Eater HMG, Intruder Sniper, and the Chimera and pups.
1. Sin-Eater HMG - Weapon is getting a slight nerf to range bands. Is this still the best choice or is the Mk2 or Combi looking decent now?
2. Intruder Sniper - Weapon gets buffed range bands, and MSV2 and X visor are still good options, but 52 points feels REALLY expensive. Am I better with a link team of mods or something similar?
3. Chimera and pups - I love the fluff and models, but I'm not sold on the concept. 24 points isn't a huge investment, but could it go somewhere else?
I wonder if I won't be better served by making the Sin-Eater my backfield sniper, and spending the 73 points from the intruder and chimera team on a decent link team.
Thanks again for any advice.

Seems like you'd want the HMG on the Sin-Eater and then set him up in a good spot as an ARO monster.
If you're only going to get 1 burst while active you may as well take full advantage of the reactive turn...I guess?
Just theorizing, I'm fiddling with a Bakunin list a the moment.

Be advised that since the Intruder is a main rulebook unit it is very likely to see a points drop across the board, since it tends to be heavy on the points cost when compared to later units.
