Hello all this is Cothonian,

I've been skimming around the forums for a bit, looking over the tactics/army list discussions, all very interesting. A few unexpected bits of information found as well.

Well I am completely new to Warhammer 40k, I've had the models for a while and have been painting them, but only got a rulebook and began to play the game within the last few months. I field the mighty forces of the Imperial Guard (I shall never call them Astra Militarum, sorry) with Space Marines in a support role (don't ask how that came to be...) So far I've been battling against one opponent who is also new to Warhammer 40k and fields a Tau army. Someday I'll knock out his Crisis Suit Commander... So in summary, expect lots of silly questions until further notice.

Well while I'm here I have a question about part of the forum. I noticed that the Painting & Modeling Showcase section specifies that all models featured in it should be "Painted and Based." As of right now all of my models are well painted, but none of them are based (purely personal preference, alongside a lack of knowledge on basing.) For my painted-but-not-based models, can I show them off there in the Painting & Modeling Showcase, or should they be placed in the Painting and Modeling section instead?

Also these emoticons are awesome...

Thank you all for your time,

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

I have a question about where I should be posting pictures of my models;

(Also I know I already posted this question, just figured I'd bump this existing topic rather than make a new one for it...)
