This is the sentence straight out of the Stormwing formation, it defines the "escort craft" rule: "the Stormtalon must move onto the board within 6" of the point that the unit it is escorting entered from."

How do you interpret that? Do they mean that the Stormtalon ends its move within 6" of the escorted unit? Within 6" of the spot along the board edge the unit arrived from? It's a bit awkward wording.

It means the point you measure the start of the Stormtalon's entry from must be within 6 inches of the point the Stormraven entered from. They don't have to end their move within 6" of the board edge, or the Stormraven.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. A poorly worded rule IMO but at least I know what to do now.
