Subject: Mek Gunz and morale

Hi there,
There is a point I don't get regarding the moral for Mek Gunz, or maybe no clear enough in the translation from english.
Let's consider 1 Mek Gun with 3 gretchins.
If I lose 1 gretchin or 1 hp during a shooting phase, do I have to make a Ld5 moral test?
Thanks for your clarification/interpretation of the rule.

Artillery rules are on page 64 of the Rulebook.
You are told to ignore the guns for the purposes of Morale tests, so in your example unit (3 grots, 1 gun) if you lost the gun, you would not need to test, but if you lost a grot you would need to test (1 out of 3 = greater than 25%).
As an aside, if you had 1 Nob and 2 Boyz in a unit, losing a wound on the Nob would not cause a Morale test - you only count models when working out if 25% have been lost for Morale.

How on earth are you losing a HP from an artillery model?

If there are no grots in LoS I think you can put the wound on the gun instead of the servant.

The wound is allocated to the closest model under normal circumstances, and this can be a gun model even if there are visible Grots as long as the gun is closer to the enemy.
