Am I right when i read the rules of the new battlesuit Flame Plasma Death thing, noticemthst it can Place 2 Times a ap2 Template on my deathwing termis,wound them on 2+ and kill em all?

1st, it has Gets Hot.
2nd, Termies have 5++ (and FnP, if applicable).
3rd, it reaches only 14", at most.
4rd, it costs whooping 230p.
5th, it's a Jet Pack MC (meaning only 6" on the move phase) and can only use its super-jump each 2 turns.

AP3 on R'varna was quite the stretch, but that one has a 60" range. 14" AP2 is acceptable.

Well - I think Vector covered it well. I feel you on this weapon being extremely effective against Terminators (I mean... an average of 7 to 8 wounds on a unit relying on 5++ is rough and will most likely wipe them) I could see the secondary mode of fire changing to AP3 whilst remaining AP2 on the primary mode just to mitigate this sort of thing but as I am a Tau player I'd be remiss if I didn't say I'm excited about Y'Varha.

Oh and you can always agree with your opponent not to use FW stuff... I feel that's fair play.

You also forget that it is still Experimental Rules and as always they have a very very large chance of being nerfed. So wait with the complaining untill the final rules are out.

You have to get insanely close to your opponent making it much easier for them to assault you or bring more weapons to bear on it, it has x1 less wound, 230pts BEFORE upgrades and it only has a 14inch effective range with x2 weapons with completely different roles. Definitely not as strong as the R'Varna was before the nerf, don't think they will change it at all.
