I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe if they are mounted on a vehicle, you measure from the muzzle of the gun while if it an infantry firing it, you measure from the base of the models firing it.

For damage, you look at the AP. The lower the # the more likely it is to pen armor on infantry.

For damage against targets with wounds, look to the strength of the weapon. The higher the better and if the strength is double or more than the targets toughness, it insta kills them regardless of wounds (not counting eternal warrior).

For vehicle targets, you once more look to the AP of the weapopn. An AP of 2 means you add +1 to the damage chart and an AP of 1 means you add 2 to the damage roll.

Also, against vehicles, you roll a d6 and add the strength to the armor pen roll. This means the higher the strength, the more likely it is to en the armor of the side facing you.
