Hey dakka I have been debating with myself for the entire day on wether I should buy my computer now off of amazon or wait untill cyber Monday to buy it. I have prime so I get free 2 day shipping so that's not a problem and the computer is already $200 cheaper than on the manufacturers website. So I was wondering if I should wait for cyber Monday or go ahead and get it now. Will amazon even discount on cyber Monday?

I think you shouldn't buy anything in Cyber Monday because out of all the consumerism-driven stupid fake holidays we invented solely around the tradition of "buying stuff", Cyber Monday - which literally did not exist before 2005 - is the absolute king; and you shouldn't perpetuate that.

Less philosophical answer: no, just buy it now, because I have never seen super awesome sales on Amazon around that time of year. When I was looking for a video card a few years ago (a type, which is made by many vendors) I carefully staked out both Newegg and Amazon and the prices stayed more or less the same.
