Space Marine Scout with Sniper Rifle

Hey all,
I'm new to the game so need some advice.
I'm thinking of doing an honour guard for my newly painted pedro kantor.
I probably won't field them cos I've heard they're wildly expensive for what they do but I just want to have the option.
The problem I have is that, unless I'm missing something, I can't actually find a box of plain honour guard?
The only thing I've seen is the Marneus Calgar and Honour Guard box, but these guys are covered in ultramarine symbols so won't work for me.
So I guess my question is, is there an honour guard box? If not which miniatures do I use for a crimson fist honour guard?
Thanks guys

There is not a specific honour guard box except the UM one and also The Red Scorpians and Sevrin Loth by Forgeworld.
That said the stern guard box can make a pretty decent honour guard, or if you want a close combat honour guard the vanguard box will come I with plenty of ornate ccw (just don't put the jump packs on).
Edit. Completely forgot the space marine command squad which will come with a banner as well... Can be used for the honour guard... Not ornate enough for me though. Ymmv though.

I'd suggest mixing parts from the Sternguard and Vanguard sets depending on how many you want, although obviously without jump packs.
And in the current codex, they are actually insanely cheap for what they bring, with a 2+ save and a bunch of attacks with Power Weapons.

You could also use some of the fancy FW power armours to represent the artificer armour.

The main issue is that they don't have an Ivul of any kind. They're fine and dandy against infantry and some monstrous creatures but Assault Terminators have better durability and can ID stuff easier.
If you want to use Honour Guard, you NEED to make them harder to kill. Biomancy, Invisibility, various EW characters with Invul, and so on. Sevrin Loth and Lias make pretty decent Guards, with auto Invisibility/2++ or Shrouded/Infiltrate/Rending Bolters.
Carcharodons make an interesting Guard too with Tyberos + Chaplain with Shield Eternal. Same with Imperial Fists which helps with their shooting.
Still, Invisibility makes them MUCH better.

I used the SM Captain and SM Sergeant from AoBR(with new heads) for two of my honour guardsman. The rest came from a mixture of the Command Squad and the Sternguard. I went power sword with all of them. Might change that to a relic blade, two power swords, and two power axes for some versatility.
The Vanguard Vets box is probably a great place to start instead, though. Problem is that all of the chests are jump pack chests. Could always swap them out though.

Boosting Space Marine Biker

Honour Guard are very nasty troops, and for a relative bargain points wise. The individual troopers might lack anything in the way of an invuln, but with Casualties from the front a character with the shield eternal can tank for the whole unit.
As for the models to use? i found the same problem with the Ultra marines HG being too ultra mariney, the sterguard and vanguard vets could be used (but i find them too busy) so instead i looked at the Forge world miniatures. The Horus Heresy MK II and III power amour, while not ornamented looks different enough from the usual MK VI and VII power armour that most marines have to make the unit stand out, and the forge world power weapon sets are excellent. If money isn't a problem, getting the MK III squad, the IF torso's and heads Power weapons and a MK III command set will make an awesome looking unit that stands out, as well as give you ample spares to use throughout the rest of your army

The Marine Standing Behind Marneus Calgar

I’m going to pile on to the “mix up the veteran boxes” train. even though I play Ultramarines, it’s what I did. I found the sternguard were a little too over the top ornate compared to my old ones, so used the tabard legs for HG. Splash whatever fun extras you have in the bits box as needed.
Still awaiting paint:
Fancy armor + bolter + power weapon = Honor Guard.

I just use the fine cast SM veterans. They are appropriately belonged out and armed with pistols and power weapons.
