Nope. We had the Dark Templar matriarch in BW and then one whose name I'm totally blanking on in SC2 that was trying to blow up that planet. Certainly they've never had a big role but we have had them on screen before.
I like Starcraft and especially the protoss, I'm looking forward to this.

Damn yeah, Raszagal. I remember her now. But we never see anything else of her than her masked face on her unit portrait. Selendis too. But if I recall correctly, we do not see much of Selendis beside her face either.

There's also a new unit trailer. Gotta say the terrans and zerg got good stuff and for whatever reason protoss got jipped and in the case of the immortal nerfed. So in my opinion protoss got nerfed so far in their own expansion. You be the judge.

Most of those changes seems very micro-oriented. Micro is going to be even more important.
