So, I just bought a pack of Chaos Space Marines, and I decided to convert them into two minimum squads of Chosen.

One squad contains a Champion designed after Tzeench, and personally, I think that Champions of Chosen squads should be able to become psykers if they aren't Khorne-marked. At least level 1 mastery. I know this is impossible, but I don't think it should be.

(Yes, I know there are 1,000 Sons, but I want weapon options AND a psyker)

What are your thoughts?

All input, as usual with me, is welcome.

Sure, but the usual cost to upgrade to a Psyker is 25pts, and then you are paying close to 50pts (nearly the price of a Sorcerer) for a level 1 1W 3+ save scrub.

I would let you do it, but all the same rules as the Sorc should still apply. If you take a Mark you have to go from the Discipline, unmarked can choose from the normal schtick. Maybe give them the option to take a Force Weapon for an extra 10pts?

Remember, when homebrewing it's always better to be over costed and underpowered then the other way around.

The mark I gave him is Tzeench, plus, I believe he can actually take force weapons anyways. They're in the melee armory.

Psykers are a thing I've never used before, so I decided to branch out.

For 50 points, you get an Aspiring Sorcerer with 1ML, Mark of Tzeentch, Aura of Dark Glory, Inferno Bolts (only for a pistol though) and a Force Weapon.

I'd say 50 points for a regular Aspiring Champion with none of the latter stuff is fair.
