Subject: New Anarchy Models Kickstarter - HS Stencils - Flames and other designs added - 25/Nov/114
Last year we ran our HD stencils Kickstarter, and many of you lovely people here at Dakka chose to back us.
You may be proud to know Dakka was THE largest group of contributors from a single forum.
A big thanks to all of you who backed us last year :-)
Well, we are back on Kickstarter again with more cool stencils, but these are different to the HD stencils from last year.
Now lets just make things 100% clear from the start, HS stencils are NOT a replacement for the HD stencils. Our HD stencils are here to stay.
HS stencils are;
Fully Re-useable - with proper care, HS Stencils will last for years.
Semi-transparent - you can see where you are putting the stencil
Washable and solvent proof. Simply clean with a suitable substance for the paint you are using.
Thin and Flexible.
Will produce a softer edge - In some cases you may not want a really crisp edge like the HD stencils provide.
Not Sticky - are used either freehand or by taping to the model/item
Quick to use - you do not have to spend time making sure the stencil is stuck to the item, and in some cases you may not need to mask off the rest of the item.
Easy to use - create amazing paintwork with even a basic level of skill.
We have just unlocked one of (I think) our most fun stencils yet; (Video Below)
These can be used to paint your very own unique dungeon, be it a modular type as in the pic, of a fixed board.
.
.
Here is an in depth video of how it works, this includes;
-Shows what the Dungeon Creator stencils include
-Shows use of a sponge for the main tiles, as well as the airbrush.
-Paints all the elements of the stencil, including optional cracks, a well, stairs an a small drain.
-Creating your own modular dungeon
-Cleaning a HS stencil
-Shows a small finished dungeon at the end
This campaign is shaping up nicely. A lot of nice stencil designs have been added, currently 20 different designs in this line for airbrush stencils.
4 of the newest designs added:
- HS-17 - Deadzone Battle Grid (for use with Mantic's Deadzone)
- HS-18 - Balkenkreuz Set
- HS-19 - 93mm Battle Grid - (suitable for Dust Tactics)
- HS-20 - Sci-fi Corridor Game Creator - 30mm squares (works similar to the Dungeon creators, see the video for HS-10 on the main page)
Spoiler:
Standard Designs
The size of a HS Stencil varies depending on the design, due to practicality of use, cost of production and other factors. You can click the links below to see the design examples for the stencils.
I'm also liking the hex paving for terrain. I plan on using the hex grids as a design on certain vehicle panels as well from it.
There are also a few freebies that have been unlocked.
A5 sheet of blank HS stencil Material.
A5 sheeet blank HD (thin) stencil Material.
Half sheets from their previous HS Stencil line.
Two different styles of air vents
Radioactive symbol and fallout shelter stencil
Airplane, Tank and Roman numericals
