Does anyone know of a game or an App that mimics the rules, strategy, and dice rolls of table top Warhammer Fantasy. Not sure if one exists but it would be an excellent idea and would give everyone a chance to practice and try out different units. It would sort of give you a chance to play with 'virtual' units to see what they are capable of and help make up your mind before buying the real thing. Also the practice and unit testing you could achieve from such a game/app would be invaluable.
Coming from someone who is very new to the Warhammer gaming experience and is getting his butt whipped every game he has, this type of thing would be great!!!!

But, alas, I can't seem to find what I am looking for.

An actual game? No.
The closest would be Vassal, but you still have to know all the rules and apply them yourself.

Just had a quick glance....looks like a lot of work....
And even once set up would you be able to play solo vs computer or would you need an opponent to play online or via email.....

I just can't believe something like this isn't already on the market....

Try Universal Battle. It's similar to vassal except you can have precreated armies.

I don't remember Warhammer: Mark of Chaos being very close to the table top game, but might be worth a look

I wasn't sure if i should mention that. Not sure how it's looked upon by the mods.
