Spawn of Chaos

Vastra Gotaland

Hello. My aim is to take down my friend who is playing Tau using this list
Feedback is appreciated

HQ
Typhus

Elites
5 Chaos terminators with Heavy flamer and mark of nurgle

Troops
7 Plague Marines with 2 meltas (the champion has an combi bloter) and a rhino with warp flame gargoyles and havoc lancher
30 Plague Zombies

Fast Attack
Heldrake (baleflamer)

Heavy Support
Chaos Spartan Assault Tank with ceremite plating and the legacy of ruin: Perdus Rift Anomaly
havocs with lascannon

Fortification
Firestorm Redoubt with void shield and 2 battlecannons

Formation
Mayhem pack (two of the helbrutes have a melta and the third has a reaper autocannon)

This army puts typhus and the terminators in the spartan to transport them into CC with either his commander or the riptide while the mayhem pack destroys the hammerheads and som infantry with the reaper. The firestorm protects my havocs + are able to take down blobs of fire warriors and kroots. The troops are for holding objectives and finely a heldrake for extra infantry killing and to be a distraction.
What do you think?

Normally, I look at a list like this and say that's too few troops.

But I like the idea of a Spartan with a Firestorm Redoubt.

It's going to be very hard to Tau (or most other armies) to stop an AV14, 5 HP, Melta-immune tank like this from making it's way up the battlefield. Typhus and his terminators are going to be in position to do something awful when they get there. Given the fact they will be assaulting out of the vehicle, it will make it impossible for them to get a target lock on your guys beforehand.

The Redoubt will be dropping pie plates on their infantry and making it hard for things with markerlights to survive very long.

With the exception of Riptides and Crisis Suits, it looks like you have an answer for everything Tau with this list. Question: the Mayhem pack - does that deep strike?

The mayhem pack does indeed deepstrike så that can take care of the hammerhead making it so that my lascannon havocs can take care of the riptide (if the terminators don't make it into close combat) But the tau player i usually play against like to deepstrike his commander with crisis suit behind my spartan and try to blast it with fusion blasters (and that makes it so that my terminators take them out rather easily) and if he tries to deep strike the commander and team against the helbrutes they have a chance to survive and charge them.
So i hope that covers his riptide and crisis suits. They are probably going to be distracted by the Heldrake and the Helbrutes which means that my terminators has free reign. What do you think?
