Hi guys! I've been painting warhammer models for a while now but have never got into army building.
I want to build a army with Khorne Berzerkers and hope you guys can help me out!
These guys are the ones that would be core of the army
MOK: Mark Of Korhn
VLW: Veteran of Long War
IOW: Icon Of Wrath
HQ

Now, I am not really sure on what to do with the left over 235 points. I was thinking of adding another Maulerfiend and a Khorne Berzerker with only VLW, or substitue a rhino for one land raider for 960 points

A Land Raider would provide a solid transport for a squad of Berzerkers and Kharn if used to deliver them, especially at 1k pts. While a second Maulerfiend is definitely a choice that would be highly recommended (redundancy in units to operate in pairs), that may be something to look at higher point games.
My concern is that even with a Land Raider to transport one of your squads, it's 6 models and not maximizing troop capacity nor providing a lot of attacks or benefit to invest in an IoW (for both units). Additionally, the Raptors would be more effective if they are optimized for a role, such as taking flamers or meltaguns to hunt some prey. An easy revision would be to get a Land Raider, and use the remaining points on a pair of meltaguns for the Raptors, drop the IoWs and get more bodies.
If you wanted a little bit of both worlds, combine the Berzerkers into a single unit (9x) to ride in the Land Raider with Kharn, and take a unit of Chaos Cultists as your second troop choice. There may be a way to get a second Maulerfiend too...

Ok, so I made some modification to the army, and just as you said I substituted one rhino into a land raider and added more zerkers. I added a meltagun to the raptors and costed in total of 997 points. I am wondering if I should make the zerkers into one squad or leave them like that?

VotLW is REALLY an unneeded upgrade and overall wasted points. You're already Fearless and with the amount of attacks you put out, Hatred isn't even needed. That makes points for another Melta Bomb or extra armor on the Land Raider.

I would highly recommend taking a dreadclaws from imperial armour 13 to deliver the berzerkers. They are a superior method of delivering melee units quickly. That or a spartan which is a much more survivable than a landraider.
The maulerfiend is good.
I would consider a rapier w/ hades autocannons to help pop transports.
VotLW is near worthless for a fearless unit.

Aurelians suggested list is great for 1000 point games I think. However you could run black legion instead and run mark of Khorne icon of wrath chosen instead of berserkers for a sneaky power fist.

I like the last list.
If the raptors start in reserve and S6 of less guns you are facing are a bit useless.
Agree with comments about VLW being a bit useless. Could that go to pay for a combi-melta in the raptor unit or towards a plasma pistol in the berzerkers.
Would you put the lashers on the Maulerfiends to help you against hordes?
