I... actually don't know. Help?

I want to scratchbuild a few Ork Killa kans, but I have some questions that need answers first:

How big is the body of one? Would an empty Citadel pot be enough?
And, how big is the base?

An empty GW paint pot (the old school style is big enough, the new range I dont think so.
The body is typically a good comparison to the size of a kinder surprise once you add a little plating over it. So it makes a very good internal structure, as anything added will be great. Although saying that a KillaKan can be anything really:

Ah damn,
the second image wouldn't load for some reason. But yeh the base is typically the larger rounded one, not the termie base used here. Have a google and you'll find many

If it looks like a grot can fit in it, and it fits a 60mm base, its a Kan!

The new kans are much bigger than the old ones, once you account for all the gubbins. Old ones are a bit bigger than old-style citadel "Bolter Shell" paint pots.

Yeah, the body size isn't really an issue, as the standard model's overall size (wider than the 60mm base) is mostly due to the gangly arms rather than the body.

Oh, and the standard kan height is 50-60mm including base, depending on how much upper bling is added, so aim to make your ones similar.

Fluffwise, grots make kanz from looted and wrecked junk, so they can look like pretty much anything. I've even made them as mini-tanks with tracks or wheels - so long as you point out to opponents that they still count-as kanz (as opposed to e.g. FW grot tanks), everyone should be happy.
