Shaolin are irregular so you only have 6 orders in your pool, which would be very low for 300pts.

back to the drawing board i guess although i believe there are some other basic troops available for 5 points each.

That would be the Kuang Shi, to bring them you need a Celestial Guard Control Device in the same combat group.

Having recently started playing Yu Jing myself here are some of the experiences I have had:

For your army you need ways to deal with Camo, ODD and similar equipped units so you will want to bring some MSV (preferably lvl 2) with you, personally I have found the RUI SHI to be a good choice.
Also to accomplish missions you need specialists of which are usually Doctors, Engeneers and Hackers.
If you bring a Tag, remote or Heavy Infantry you will also always want to bring a hacker for defence as they can be hacked and thus immobilized by the enemy.
You dont want to bring to many Impetuous models as they are a bit out of control, which can ruin your plans in objective based games.
I have made a suggested army based on my experiences, the only major problems in the army is lack of heavy weapons (apart from the TAG).

The army can put a lot of early pressure on the opponent, while still having a number of specialist, it lacks Camo'ed units though, but that is a general problem for Yu Jing armies as their Camo'ed troops are rather expensive or limited in availability.
In general the Guijia should be doing the heavy lifting, with the kuang shi supporting it by clearing repeaters and protecting its flanks.
The Tiger soldier is for either taking out opponent rear guard units (cheerleaders) or doing objectives in some missions.
The Rui Shi is there to deal with TO:Camo/ODD models that are otherwise hard to hit, in combination with smoke grenades from the Celestial you can block opponents LoS before you shoot, making you shoot first unopposed.
