Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting into WH40k, and I was wondering if anyone in the Seattle area was part of a regular playgroup or knew of an FLGS that had regular WH40k events. What I'm mostly hoping to do is hang out and watch games/if anyone will let me, borrow an army for a small game to see how it plays. Additionally, any information of the WH40k scene in the Seattle area would be great; is it active/how competitive is it/is everyone pretty chill? I've watched a lot of battle reports, so I wouldn't need much hand-holding, and I'm pretty easy to get along with. Will totally bring beer and/or pot if you guys want and it's cool with the venue(and you're over 21).

Cheers!

Heroic Knight Games out in Issaquah has a regular Thursday night group. Don't know if that's a treck for you or not. I'm easing back into 40K myself from Fantasy, so there's at least one other beginner.

Cool, thanks for the tip; HKG is a little out of the way for me (I live near the U district and don't have a car, so it's pretty much only busses and ubers for me), but if that looks like the best spot in the area I'll definitely try to make the trek out there and see what's up. I'll definitely hit you up once I have some actual models to field!

Card Kingdom in Ballard may be the better bet for you then. I thought there was another store closer to the U District too, it may have closed down.

Card Kingdom looks good; checked their website and apparently they have WH40k/WHFB nights on Sundays. Does anyone on here regularly go to those?

The GW store down in Kent is really good especially on the weekends. Do you have an army or are you just starting?

Carcharodon Astra, by the Emporer it is willed.
