Welcome to X-Wing, where the promised release schedule has nothing to do with reality. As a general rule you should expect everything to be several months late.

Fantasy Flight do seem to have a rather erratic release schedule. It’s a shame as their products are superb, but their distribution leaves much to be desired.

Funny the OP should post this today. FFG just updated it to "shipping" this morning, with an expected date of the 26th.

I think they just make up the release dates then hope they'll get within 3 months late for delivery

It's a marketing scheme, at the rate it's going the Deceimator will be out just in time for gencon next year, then they can have long lines again with people desperate to get their product.

I think it may have been that the Gencon crowd bought more than FFG thought they would. I expect some of the extra Rebel Aces packs came from leftover Gencon product. IIRC the YT-2400, and the Decimator sold out by Sunday.

Just out of curiosity, Imperial Assault showed as shipping over the weekend, but now is back on the boat. Any word on what happened?

I just spoke to Firestorm Games who confirmed that their entire shipment is already accounted for in pre orders. They don't expect a 2nd batch untill next spring.

I believe the YT-2400 was trying to make the Kessel Run when it ran into some engine trouble. They are working on it, but whatever bonus they were expecting for quick delivery of their cargo is long gone.

Well what do you know. I put in a pre-order for both the Decimator and YT-2400 with Element Games and they got dispatched this moring!

Not bad considering Wayland Games are saying they don't even expect to have them in stock till next week!

My FLGS just posted a bunch of pictures last night that the YT-2400 and the Decimator were in stock. Just in time for Black Friday!

We have had some of the hundreds we have ordered arrive, and are expecting lots more to arrive around the end of the week / early next week. Once in we will ship the rest of the remaining orders.

Would you prefer the reliable release dates and crappy products of, say, Wizkids with Attack Wing?
