This is my first go at a proper list

Chaos Lord - 65 w/ bike and nurgle - 100

Rhino - 35
10 csm w/ 2 meltas, nurgle - 190

Heldrake w/ Baleflamer - 170 pts
5 havocs w/ 2 flames 2 meltas - 105

600

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated,
Thank you

I'm concerned that the Nurgle Lord is going to be either isolated, or slowed down if he joins a squad (or rides behind the Rhino). Meanwhile, the Havocs don't have a Rhino to maximize their short-ranged weapons.

You currently only have a single Troops choice to qualify for a CAD.

Re-organizing could allow you to take two 5-man CSM squads with a Flamer each, and a 5-man Havoc squad with 4x meltaguns in a Rhino. The Chaos Lord rides alongside the Havocs while they hunt (T6 Lord helps defensively, but he doesn't have offensive punch), and the CSMs sit on objectives. Hopefully the Heldrake makes a fashionable arrival to provide adequate support.

If other units/models are available for suggestion, then it would open more alternatives and feedback.

i.e. taking Cultists or dropping the Heldrake to get more points to augment your Chaos Lord, and taking some Nurgle Bikes.

Here is and improved list, yes I am able to get bikes and cultists, this is going to be a Christmas list, thanks so much for getting back so quick.

Chaos Lord - 65 w/ bike and nurgle - 100

Rhino - 35
5 csm w/ flammer- 80
5 csm w/ flammer- 80

Heldrake w/ Baleflamer - 170 pts
5 havocs w/ 4 meltas, nurgle - 130

HQ:
Chaos Lord w/ Bike, MoN, BBoS
130

Elites:
N/A

Troops:
5x CSMs w/ Flamer and Rhino
115

5x CSMs w/ Flamer and Rhino
115

Fast Attack:
3x Chaos Spawn w/ MoN 108

Heavy Support:
5x Havocs w/ 2x Meltaguns and Rhino
130

This list would provide you with four units that have mobility; CSMs and Havocs ride in mobile bunkers, while the Chaos Lord and Spawn shoot with the BBoS template (which almost provides same weaponry as the Heldrake) and charge survivors. 2x Meltaguns from Havoc squad to shoot from the top hatch in the Rhino, CSMs squads can shoot with the Flamer. If your Rhinos get wrecked, then you use them for cover. If you want more bodies on the table, you could exchange a CSM squad for a unit of Chaos Cultists that can either be relatively large, or basic strength with more marines. Also, you can easily exchange your Havocs for a Vindicator with siege shield.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I forgot to mention that with the more recent list, the significant change is stripping the Heldrake to boost the Chaos Lord, and providing him with a decent retinue to travel with (and the extra Rhinos). Heldrakes are an interesting choice at low point games because most armies won't necessarily bring a Flyer when they're more interested in having their backbone army needs met first. Likewise, they also won't be expecting a Flyer and won't take a unit that targets Flyers either. So, if you want to use a Heldrake because of it's capability and "cool" factor for your army, then you should take one and look if it fits in your overall army design.

I guess heldrake at low points is still popular.

Most d-bags can fit 2 turkeys in at 500pts.

That seems only possible with a Sorcerer and two units of Chaos Cultists (21 models).

It may not be an easy task, but a "zerg rush" tactic to remove them on the first 1-2 turns before the Heldrakes arrive may be possible. They would certainly be the "happiest" cultists around when the flying beasts do all the work while they cower behind cover.

That is what i am hoping will happen to all the Chaos players who think its so cool to field 2 drakes at 500.

Peterborough, England.

Having problems with drakes at 500, be necrons and take annihilation barges. No problem, also stop moaning, you kill guys, you have nothing to worry about, Hellturkeys no longer have good mobility, so just beat them.
