Hello everybody. The Kickstarter "The Zombie Landshark of Bikini Beach" is LIVE.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1813929815/the-zombie-landshark-of-bikini-beach-32mm-and-75mm

In it, you'll find to models each one in two different scales 75mm and 32mm. The shark was created to seamlessly go into any army you may want to put it.

We created this minis with love and wanted to share it with you. Thank you for checking it out. Have a great day!

I am most interested in shipping costs. Particularly since it can be a real killer to ship stuff from the US to Australia.

I am most interested in shipping costs. Particularly since it can be a real killer to ship stuff from the US to Australia.

Last time we did something like this they came up to something like $20 to $30 for the big stuff.

I forgot to mention a very cool looking stretch goal:

Couple questions-

How big will the base be for the 75mm version?

Will those arms be optional? I kind of like it with just the legs, to tell the truth.

Count me among those interested in shipping as well (in the US for myself).

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I think she would look a little funny with only legs... What would help hold her bikini up?

Hey Guys! The arms are not optional, sorry.

The base is 90x95mm for the 75mm shark.

I want to see the mount too!! please help us spread the word so we can make it happen. Do you know any blog owners I can introduce myself to that may be interested in this type of minis? any ideas on where to communicate this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. One more detail for you guys:

Something about the proportions of her face just doesn't work for me at all.

Could it be that her eyes are a little too large, or her face is a bit too "long"? That's how it appears to me.

BUT... it might be that this is a render, and those proportions are required for successful transfer over to a printed model? I don't know...

KaYo, any comment?

Hey guys. Well, I felt like in the previous miniatures I did, the eyes were very small in the print and that's why I made them a tad big this time. I'm sorry if it doesn't work at all for Skarsol. I think she's cute although i can see how the proportions may seem off.

Here is one honest review about our last miniatures (with the good and the bad).

Well besides the difference between seeing it on a screen and in person as a miniature, there's also the difference seeing it unpainted vs painted, Particularly around the eyes where you usually paint a lot of shadow/makeup etc.

I likely wont join this Kickstarter as the female is a bit too cheesecake for me to do anything with, but are you planning to address the issues brought up in that review? Mainly the stepping lines and mold slippage?

Yes I'm planning to address all that.

In fact, I want to create the world's finest miniatures. As soon as I find something that can be improved, I will improve it. This process takes time though and unfortunately cashflow takes me away from just sculpting, creating and improving. But I promise, as soon as I can put all of my time into this, you'll get miniature after miniature of the highest quality possible.

"Real life" is a bugger when it interferes with what you really want to do, isn't it?

I like the sculpting on the landshark, but the over the top nature of the "sex sells" route (feels like an informercial on a seedy channel...) is a bit off-putting.

It looks to me like you have sculpting talent, and were you to make some other, less tongue-in-cheek big monsters, I would definitely be interested in backing your work in the future.

You find the shark too sexy?

Jokes aside, the only complaint i have is that the lady is too generic there are enough makers of sexy 32 and 70mm miniatures. go steampunk or sf to give it an edge

Agreed Jehan, although I was referring more to the ads around the mini ("see the photoshoot!" etc) rather than the sculpt itself.

But I agree, making it setting-specific would garner more interest (see the Bombshell Babes campaign, or even Princess Outis of the Infamy Miniatures campaign).

Padre: ... yes, a real bugger indeed!

RiTides: Thank you for your honest feedback. I will continue this kickstarter as is. Hopefully it will fund. But then I'm going to go into more character driven, fantasy sculpting. This KS was something quick I put together based on assets I already had.

Sex sells... I was hoping that the quality of the sculpts would balance the joke. maybe not?

Jehan-reznor:
She is not generic when she has a zombie landshark next to it! Looking back, I feel it was a mistake to think of them as separate pieces. They should have created a small diorama like our last KS did... oh well!

Thing is: the REALLY good sculpts, the ones that, on top of the fantastic anatomy have detailed, ornaments, clothing, armors, etc. take SO MUCH TIME!!! I was hoping to "buy my time" with smaller easier pin-ups to be able to sit down and do masterpieces. We'll see how it goes.

Having said this. I don't feel these two sculpts are a compromise I like them and the pin-up style is something I wanted to do at least once. And next to the supercool shark it takes another dimension.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
In any case, please give me your wishlists. I'm all ears.

If I wanted the 72mm Shark and the 32mm girl, how should I go about doing that in Kickstarter?

Hey, @crazyfoxdemon You would have to pledge $47 for the 75mm shark and ad $14 for the 32mm girl, and then send us a private message about it. Thanks for your interest!

I have one more question, would their be any way to get the mount even if you don't hit your stretch goal?

I think she looks great. Her eyes are bigger than normal but so were Betty Davis' and in her prime; "I would".

Otherwise she has great girl next door features rather than basic cover model especially her cheekbones. Overall great anatomical sculpting.

The pose works for me because I could use her as I am looking for 2 different miniatures like this.

Though I do plan to swap heads with eldar banshee masks and have them frolicking on top of my Slaanesh rhino and land raider so the eyes wouldn't matter to me.

Though I understand not everyone is using perverted transports so others opinions on the pose obviously vary.

Oh and the shark is cool.

great job!
