Hi,

I haven't played for a while, but now we a starting again. My last game was shortly after the new Tyranid Codex Release with 6th Edition.
Now, we want to play 7th Edition and I see that there are many new Tyranid Releases :-)

So... What should I buy next and in what order? I want to expand my army slowly (as I want to paint everything I'm playing with).
Importantly: We are only playing Fun games. So competitive is not that important, but I do not want to buy useless stuff.

At the moment I've got the following:
1 Flyrant
1 Tervigon
1 Harpy/Crone (magnetized)
3 Tyranid Warriors
1 Zoanthrope
1 Toxothrophe
8 Genestealers
1 Broodlord
10 Gargoyles (I know 10 of them are quite useless, but I like the models and wanted to paint them )
16 Hormagaunts
41 Termagants

A year ago I would have buyed a few more Toxo/Zoanthrophes (Which is now much easier with the new plastic kit) and 2 Carnifexes as the next step.
But with the new releases I have no idea.

I would really appreciate, if you could help me how to expand my little (ok, sometimes a little bigger) bugs ;-)

best regards

Honestly, you can't really go wrong with more Carnifexes, Zoanthropes and Venomthropes. That's still a good decision now.

In the future, some Tyrannocytes would be a good way to use those Zoanthropes / Fexes to their full potential.

IMO you should get some Heavy Support.

Carnifexes are good options (they sell a box that comes with 2). An Exocrine and/or a Mawloc would be worth looking into. I'd check out the Heavy Support se tion if the codex and see what catches your eye.

I would still suggest a box of 'Thropes. And Carnifexen are still a very good addition to an Army. A second Tyrant is the most competitive choice that is still in the "fun" zone. Of the new models...I only think the Pods are in the "must" zone...I think I will want a Malefactor/Toxicrene eventually... Rippers have also become a lot more popular...you likely have a few, so you can just go ahead and paint them.

You have a Tervigon, so more Termagants would make sens (a Brood of x30, and about 21 more for spawns.. ) I'd want more Gargoyles, and Hormagaunts, but that is "just me".

Good luck, and welcome back!
