I'm going to start a Black Templars army next. I currently play Khorne, and as you know it's a very assault based army, so I want to try out a different playstyle. I don't want it to become a gunline either though, just something a little more shooty than before. The shootiest option I can think of for the Dreadnought is two twin linked autocannons, but aesthetically it looks kind of boring, so I'm currently considering a Plasma Cannon and a Missle Launcher, but I'm not sure.

What's the best weapon setup that combines weaponry/fluff/aesthetics?

I'd go with assault cannon and power fist w/ builit in heavy flamer. Good mid range firepower with the possiblitly of a decent charge and overwatch to slow hordes.
