what is that raptor stuff? doing damage before game, all that infiltraing? where does that come from.
As always, brilliant report
You have ruled this galaxy for ten thousand years
Yet have little of account to show for your efforts
Order. Unity. Obedience.
We taught the galaxy these things

I am starting to pain my marines as Raptors and my Sicaran is waiting for me at home...I really want to go home.
I think the Callidus is almost a must with Issodon. With the Callidus you make it a 7+ on turn 2 for the your opponent to bring reserves on. It just wrecks reserve/flyer armies. Wolves was one of the armies I was considering. More food for thought.

That game put my faith in Khorne to the test. My table-neighbor looked at the match up and said "Here you're going to need these more than I will" and handed me a bag of Jello shots. They must have pleased Khorne because I walked out 11-2.
Now looking at another list with MORE tyrants and MORE mawlocks, I said to myself. "Oh well looks like it's time for another beer. It'll take the sting out of this. LOL"

Issodon is hands down the most powerful HQ in the game, due to sheer board manipulation.
Reroll reserves, minuses to enemy reserves, shrouded (transferable as an IC) and assured master of ambush (who is OP as feth and needs a serious nerf), the sternguard ammo shooting, decent melee skills, a locator beacon to get even more off your reserve manipulation and the pre-game shot are just icing on a very good cake.
Honestly, if you take raptors without Issodon you are denying yourself the deal of the edition. he's just a no-brainer pick.
can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Ha yeah infiltrate, isolate, destroy is straight nasty against Be'lakor and other greater daemons. All it takes is a roll of a 5 and it should knock one out

Yeah, I have been playing that one wrong this entire edition! I goofed on that.

Lias is easily one of the best HQs available to Marines, but, once the game starts he is really weak. He is a force multiplier, not a damage dealer (apart form that pre-game attack).
He has no invul, no orbital bombardment like other CMs, only 3 attacks, a power sword and a 4 shot bolter. He's there for his non-combat abilities.
