Hi everyone, I'm somewhat new to wargame forums so be nice

I'm Michael and I'm 29, Been playing 40k on and off since I was 15, after a fair break I got back into it in 2010.

My main army of choice is space marines. I am building a horus heresy army, going for the mighty iron hands. My other army is a custom chapter of which I plan to build an entire chapter up, I'm thinking a successor chapter of dark angels however I may stick to the generic codex astartes in terms of numbers and companies.

I play board games a few times a month with my mates, twilight imperium, variety of risk games, axis and allies, game of thrones and settlers of catan...... The list can go on and on haha

I also have a small rebel collection for x-wing but never get to play that so they kinda sit there looking pretty if nothing else.

Good choice with the dark angles. I think the codex is awesome. The only but I hate is the colour scheme of the normal dark angles. I like the deathwing colours and there is a successor chapter which take the DW colours (Codex is at home I forget what hey are called) and I've always been tempted to expand my DW force into that chapter

Hey Duxun, welcome to Dakka! If I had a group that played Horus Heresy /30K I think I might go with the Iron Hands, I really enjoy their fluff and style.

I play Dark Angels in 40K, I know the codex isn't quite as strong as some of the newer books out there, but I love the Deathwing and Ravening, I think the bikes are just great!
