Bombs as a weapon type don't really feel like they have much clarity in their rules.

1) The Bomb type says it scatters D6" and wounds are allocated via Barrage rules, and most (if not all) bombs have the Blast or Large Blast USR. Do you reduce scatter by BS? It has it's own set of rules and simply says "If a hit is not rolled, scatter D6" in that direction".

2) Can you make a Bombing Run during a time that it must make Snap Shots (for instance, Jink or Crew Shaken)? They have the Blast type, so logic would dictate that you cannot, but under the Bomb section it says that they are "A special type of attack called a Bombing Run... Counts as having fired one weapon during it's Shooting Phase". As this specifically says it is not a shooting attack, but clearly acts like one, it is a bit confusing.

1) It's my belief that yes, it is. It contains the Blast or Large Blast rule and by that rule the scatter is reduced by ballistic skill.

2) The bomb is dropped during the movement phase and counts as having fired a weapon, but it doesn't specify that it's a shooting attack nor is it actually 'firing a weapon.'
I don't have the book on me at the moment, but I believe the snapshot restrictions are largely contained in the shooting phase, with exceptions being mentioned for specific situations like overwatch.

I could be completely wrong so you'll have double check the book or wait for some other people to weigh in.

I believe they scatter full d6 no matter what's your BS. As dropping a bomb =/= firing a weapon. It just affects the ammount of other weaponry you can fire at full bs in the shooting phase.

And as for the bomb being dropped after jinking or getting shaken, you can still drop it for the same reason cause it's not exactly firing a weapon.

It's also an interesting question if you can drop a bomb over an invisible unit. Seems that you do following this logics. I guess, my orks have some sort of counter for invisible stuff running around. Albeit, a mediocre one.

Bombs have their own mechanic for scattering. It covers if you roll a Hit! a scatter etc... In other words, does not use the rules for scattering blasts. There is no reduction in Bs listed in this rule.

1) Full D6. You might consider the fact that they aren't scattering 2D6 as having the BS reduction built in.

2) I don't believe dropping bombs is affected by snap shots.
