Hello guys,

I am about to start painting my Bastion, and I'd like to know which layer color do you use for the buidling?

Thanks for your feedback!

Most of my imperial buildings get a black priming, then a generous splash of dark grey, then a light grey drybrushing. As a contrast I paint the linings with boltgun metal and then add some highlights.

My armies:
Eldar
Necron
Chaos Space Marines
Grey Knights
Imperial Knights
Death Guard

Ok, I will try with dark grey. I only have codex grey atm, but I find it to light. Thanks

You could use codex grey and then highlight the edges with either fortress grey or with codex grey mixed with white 1:1.

I used the Mechanicus Standard Grey and used the Codex grey for highlights. Warlock bronze for the metal strips and boltgun metals for the rivets. Looks pretty nice.
