I've been a 2nd edition player since the late 90s, but haven't actually played in several years.

I purchased 4th edition and have played a few games with the new rules, but there are two things I'm not completely clear on with some of the changes from 2nd to 3rd to 4th edition.

1. If a marine is on overwatch and jams, if he clears the jam with an available command point when a genestealer uses it's next action point in line of sight, does the marine also get a free overwatch shot for that same genestealer action after clearing the jam? The rules seem to indicate that this is the case (where it states that command points, which were used in this case to unjam, are resolved before overwatch is resolved, and overwatch remains in effect after a jam in 4th edition), but it seems a little strange that the marine would get a free shot after unjamming, meaning that for 1 genestealer action point, the marine got to both unjam and take an overwatch shot.

2. Does a space marine being killed by a genestealer trigger overwatch for a different marine that is behind him and facing him when he is killed?

So I asked this over on Boardgame Geek and got an answer that makes sense.

The marine would not be able to fire on overwatch immediately after clearing the jam due to the fact that he was jammed (ie. not on overwatch) when the genestealer completed it's action.

Simple answer, but I was overlooking that minor point.
