So I have always been interested in fantasy, and I think I may want to go dwarfs. can I get any tips on how fun they play?

I don't have any interest in Dwarfs but from what I understand theyre slow and tough and like war machines.

Don't take any of that as gospel but it should give you a rough overview of the army as a whole and each unit.

Sorry I couldn't be of any more help, like I said Dwarfs to me are just... Uninspired, they just seem to be in every bloody fantasy thing out there (coming from an elf player...) but yeah. Hope you have fun with them!

I'm gonna read that wiki page now and probably wanna play Dwarfs afterwards...

Warmachines and gyrocopters are your friends.

High armor, no magic. They play like you'd expect dwarfs to. Slow tough higharmored with no magic & lots of shooting.

Do some research here:

great podcast from a veteran dwarf player here WARNING it's 3 parts & quite long but VERY good:

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.

Alternatively, you can run a "mini-viking" style army.
People, offensively, associate WOC with real world Scandinavians.... I'm really not sure why, because that's what a big bunch of dwarf culture comes from...seeing as the Dwarfs are a part of Norse religion...

So you can run a lot of warriors, slayers, Hammerers, and Quarrelers and the like to represent a norse dwarf army, which is pretty cool. Doesn't win a lot, but slayers are NASTY in close combat., and don't get me started about hammerers.

Thanks
Austin

We have probably 10 designated people in the WHFB section. unlike 40k, we don't have popularity to keep threads moving at a fast rate.

The upside is that your thread will be seen, and answered by someone, at some point, the downside is that your thread will always have the same 10 people chiming in on it.

Thanks

Thought for the day: It is better to die for the Emperor than to live for yourself
