Hello!
I'm new to this forum, alhtough I have been lurking (and playing 40k) for about 3 years.
I'm starting a 2000pts CSM and Daemons Talons of Anathrax list.
For those who don't know, they're a name mentioned in the list of chapters that fell during the abyssal crusade. It's heavily implied that they fell to Nurgle, and in the fluff that's appeared for them in my own games (yeah , I like "forging a narrative"), they are a mix of fast and aggressive stuff ("Talons"), and unkillalbe objective-holding Nurgle stuff. I've given them a history, a color scheme, ennemies... Everything except an actual competitive list to play them past 1000 pts.
I'd please love some help in making a not-too expensive, 2000 pts competitive list to build up to. Model wise, I currently have 7 plague marines (flamer, plasmagun), the dark vengeance box, a heldrake, a vindicator, an agis defence line, a daemon prince and some raptors (plasmagun, meltagun, plasma pistol).
Here is the basic list I made, after some thinking and not enough playtesting :(
Chaos Space Marines
HQ - 510 pts
Daemon prince of Nurgle w/ Black Mace, spell familiar, armor, wings, psyker level 3 - 355pts
Nurgle Chaos Lord w/ sigil of corruption, power sword, plasma pistol, jump pack, meltabombs - 155 pts
Troops - 295 pts
Plague Marines w/ flamer, plasmagun - 140 pts
Plague Marines w/ meltagun, plamagun - 145pts
Fast Attack - 505 pts
Heldrake w/ baleflamer - 170 pts
Warp Talons w/ MON - 180 pts
Raptors w/ plasmagun, plasma pistol, meltagun, meltabombs - 155pts
Heavy Support - 260 pts
Chaos Vindicator w/ siege shield, combi-bolter - 135pts
Maulerfiend - 125pts
Chaos Daemons
HQ - 70pts
Herald of Nurgle w/ greater locus of fecundity - 70pts
Troops - 90pts
Plaguebearers - 90pts
Heavy Support - 180 pts
Nurgle Soul Grinder w/ Phlegm bombardment - 180pts
Fortification[b] - 100 pts
Aegis Defence line w/ Quad Gun - 100pts
The idea is that the DP, the maulerfiend, run up and screen the jump troops, while the rest hangs back behind the aegis and shoots hard. The plague marines try to sneak towards the objectives without attracting too much fire.
What do you think?
