Hello.
I really like Hammers of Dorn chapter color scheme and on top of that they are successors to (in my opinion) one of the better chapter - Imperial Fists. As if that wasn't enough they also hate Ultrasmurfs (just as I do)!
The problem is their fluff - they apparently are one of the chapter following the codex the most (they try to outshine Ultramarines in that respect) and I see them as tough headed idiots that can't think for themselves because of that.
And then Rogal Dorn worshipping reminds me of my Ultramarines hate. Is Rogal that great of a guy (apart from the fact that in polish his name means croissant )?
Should I build my army on top of them even though I have few problems with how they roll? They don't seem to have any backstory apart from their obsession about Dorn (though the name is badass) and codex adherence that makes me puzzled a bit as they really enjoy themselves some heavy firepower... but they apparantely have some useless assault marines company that would be never used in their strategy...

'Straya... Mate.

I think this should be in general discussion not background.

If you like their colour scheme then make them your army. It sounds like you like the idea of them so go for it. Just don't buy any assault marines if you don't like them. If there isn't much background fluff, invent one o their companies, using strict codex Astartes structure (as you said they are in to it), name some characters and have fun.

Ops... You might be right. Is there a way to move the thread?
