Followed along with Striking Scorpion's wonderful tutorial found at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y20fbSweLpk

Mine is not nearly as neat and tidy as his, but I am very happy with how it came out considering this was my first finished model ever.

It is not my first attempt ever, only the first I finished. What you are not seeing is the 3 others that i completely screwed up and didn't finish (am going to strip and repaint using the same steps as this one above) :-/

Excellent stuff for an accomplished painter, let alone a beginner! Welcome to Dakka, and I hope to see more of your work soon!

Very well done!

I think I might have to start following some tutorials if you can get your first completed one looking like this.

I didn´t get results like this even when painting my 50th miniature, so you are really doing well.

The most important thing to remember when painting miniatures is to quit if you realize you are starting to take shortcuts, and continue when you have more energy. The second one is absolute patience.

I can already see you have the patience to paint a miniature properly, so you are on the right path. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks for the kind words! Also, that is amazing advice... i wish I had known and followed it the first couple minis that I basically ruined before I discovered just what level of skill, precision, and patience is required to achieve a desirable result (IE: A TON)

I'd make a P&M blog, or flag your topic and ask it be moved there. As others said...Excellent work.
