Here is the press release:

Space Hulk® Blasts its way onto consoles everywhere!

The Desperate Battle of Space Marines and Genestealers Commences on PS3®, PS-VITA®, and Wii U™ Platforms in 2015

Berkeley, CA –December 2nd, 2014. – International Publisher HR GAMES today announced that in association with Full Control and Games Workshop, it will be bringing the digital version of Games Workshop’s legendary Space Hulk® to the PS3 (PlayStation® 3), PS-VITA (PlayStation® VITA) and the Nintendo eShop on Wii U™ in 2015. Based on the best-selling board game and set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Space Hulk® is a 3D digital turn based strategy game that recreates the classic claustrophobic board game experience for single player and multiplayer.

Space Hulk is set in the isolated corridors and tomb-like chambers of an ancient vessel lost in the graveyard of space. Players lead a small army of fearless Space Marine Terminators to battle in a ferocious fight for survival against hordes of predatory alien Genestealers. Based on the "Sin of Damnation" campaign from the 3rd edition board game, Space Hulk includes a robust 12 mission single-player campaign, a co-operative campaign, Blood Angel and Space Wolf Chapters and many other thrilling missions! Recreating the tense battles of the board game, multiplayer mode will allow players to go head-to-head as one player controls the Space Marines and their opponent the Genestealers, in the ultimate fight for domination.

‘We are simply honored to bring this legendary universe to consoles everywhere. Having played the board game years ago and being a big fan of Games Workshop products, our decision to make this journey was a natural one’ expressed Manny Granillo, President & CEO of HR GAMES. ‘The PS3, PS-Vita and Wii U™ with its unique GamePad controller, will make the SPACE HULK® universe come to life!’

Despite no comments, I must say that I am pretty thrilled. I don't have it for PC and I am interested what they did for the Wii U in terms of using the Game Pad. Hopefully they will make the jump to PS4 and XB1 as well. The more awareness of 40K the better.

Sounds cool--video games is a whole new dimension for GW to expand into. I like the "Warhammer Quest" game I have on my iPad, and, though totally different from Space Hulk, hopefully this will be a positive trend.

New? GW has had video games based on their IP for at least 15 years.

Longer than that lol. 20yrs+

(Showing my age a little here lol)

Space Crusade (all tactical marines- Blood Angels, Imperial Fists and Ultramarines vs Chaos Marines, Orks, Necrons? & Genestealers ) was on Atari ST, IBM PC (MS-DOS), Amiga, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad in 1992. Space Hulk was on PC & Amiga in 1993

Because 80 million people own PS3s in the world? PS4 is harder to code for. PS3 and Vita code very similar.

Guys,if it's anything like the PC version you can keep it as it's rubbish . I have been a huge Space Hulk fan since day one but the PC game just sucks

Let's hope you don't get the same version

Heh. I used to love Space Crusade on Amiga back in the day...

Just a heads up, Space Hulk launched in the Wii U in the US today. They want $29.99 for it, which is highway robbery, IMO.

Was a 2 year thread bump really necessary?

$30! That is insane. I bought it for like < $5 during a Steam sale and it wasn't worth it.

Wow. Yeah, I bought it on a Steam sale too -- for almost nothing, which, sadly, is all it's worth. The biggest problem with the game are that the controls are too awkward, and it's too easy to unintentionally use up move points doing something you don't want/intend to. It just ends up adding on to a pile of stuff that I don't touch.

I have no idea why they'd port it to Wii *now*. At least revamp the game.

I bought it on Steam. The board game is fun. The PC game is terribly dull.

For me the biggest problem was how incredibly dull it was. None of the tension of the board game because of the way overwatch was resolved.

They should've ported the Ascension version, it's actually passable. The basic game is a train wreck.

Damn, I thought it was the Ascension version. That is really bizarre. Heck, $30 for Ascension would be robbery, this is just downright sad.
