Say a codex releases in January. You buy it. It has some errors that are fixed by the February FAQ.

Months pass and some other player wants to start that army in August. So he ends up buying the codex in September.

By this time the original faulty printing run should have all been sold and GW should have already started its second, third or fourth batch.

Do these later batches have the FAQ incorporated into them or are they just as faulty as the primary batch that came out on release day?

The reason for my question is twofold: one, I usually get my codexes on release day and two, I had read in GW FAQ/errata somewhere where they mentioned that they update their books...

I play by what's in my codex even when i got to any events till some one can show me a paper copy of faq from gw with profe that's legit from gw then maybe all go by FAQs till then if its in codex then that's how i play

Something tells me you dont go to competitive events.

And if you really do, and the FAQ conflicting with your armylist isnt something minor like what-happens-in-some-situational-happenstance-like-some-psychic-phase, then:

...also if you happen to play against, say, an Eldar player, and he suddenly uses his Farseer to summon some daemons and you start to object because nowhere in the Eldar codex does it say that Farseers have access to the malefic Daemonology discipline.

Talys is right, just scroll to the bottom of the main GW site:
