Yeah the paint job is superb! Those dread hands look like inflated red pillows. Lol

I love the dreads. The claws are definately different. But I do have to agree with the previous posters. The hands look out of place. Either the rest of the dread needs some more round-ness of the hands need to be more angular and have flat surfaces.

Thanks for the nice words about the paint.
Both dreads were built with the hands being fists back in 3rd ed. The GW version of dread power fist then was sucky at best. With the new Blood Talons from the last codex all I did was to fashion on the claws. GW's version of fists and talons still sucks.

Haha, hating on GW is always the easiest conclusion around here. I don't recognize them from any of their minis, they look good though if not a bit big. I like the reinforced armor too.
Edit; nvm, I reread the thread, and I've been playing since 3rd. Nice one GW.

I think he means he disliked the power fists they had in 3rd edition, and those are thus substitutes. I've literally never seen those on another model.

That is true. Since GW came out with the dread power fist, to me it looks a little out of place. Newer dread models have hands or something cooler.
That aside, the hands I used are from Heroclicks. The Sentinel model came with two pairs of hands. And since his dog chewed up the body, he gave me the hands.
FYI I used the old Hulk model from Heroclicks for my Orks too. Also done back in a time when GW only had metal nobs.
If you like them or not, thanks for the responses.
