The next James Bond film will be titled Spectre.

Christoph Waltz will play a character named Oberhauser in the Sam Mendes-directed film, which will see Daniel Craig star as Bond for the fourth time.

The rest of the new cast includes Léa Seydoux (Blue Is the Warmest Colour) as Madeleine Swann, Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, Guardians of the Galaxy's David Bautista as Mr Hinx and Sherlock star Andrew Scott as Denbigh.

Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear will reprise their roles from Skyfall.

"A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation," reads the official plot synopsis from EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

"While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE."
In an announcement from Pinewood Studios on Thursday morning (December 4), Mendes confirmed that the movie will shoot in London, Rome, Mexico City, Morocco and Austria.

Mendes also revealed Bond's sleek new Aston Martin, the DB10, created exclusively for Spectre.

Principal photography on Spectre will start this Monday (December 8).

There have been strong rumours in recent weeks that Academy Award winner Waltz could be playing a classic villain from the Bond canon.

Spectre will be released on November 6, 2015 in cinemas around the world.

Jesper Christensen, the man who played Mr. White in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, has confirmed that he will be returning for Spectre. Because of legal reasons, producers couldn’t use the name Spectre earlier, hence we got the shadow organization Quantum that coerced Vespa (Eva Green) to betray James Bond (Daniel Craig) and MI6. But now that the rights to the name Spectre have been worked out, it looks like Mr. White’s group may be getting a name change
