So i've been a big fan of Apocalypse 28mm scale armies for a while. Something about tables of miniatures all assembled for outright War gets me going you could say. I'd like to see photos and hear stories of what got you into making an Apoc army, what you plan to add to it, etc. I'll be honest, i'm especially interested in those with upwards of 30k, however all the same I love to hear the why/how/etc of a Warhost

My biggest army is 5k as I don't really see the use for more than that. We only play apoc once every couple months and it's usually about 10 people per side, xenos vs imperium. With that many people on a team we can't have 10k+ per player or we would have to rent out a gym to fit all the models. I don't have any pics of the whole army together, trying to finish painting it all before I do that.

Sounds like you get some good use out of it though. What race is it?

Space wolves. I'll probably do a 5k eldar next. I love revenant and phantom titans and the lynx tank.

As it says in my sig, I have between 7k and 8k nids depending on formations and upgrades. I'm hoping to expanding to include multiples of everything in the codex and maybe a titan or two. But that'll be when I have a stable job.

I love apoc. Seeing hundreds of models and dozens of tanks on the board just gets my sci-fi juices flowing. I don't get to play often because there isn't a FLGS near my school. But whenever I go home on break, I try to get an apoc game in. Win or lose, just getting together to toss handfuls of dice and pull armfuls of models off the board is one of my favorite ways to spend a weekend.

I could get between 5 and 10k in DE or SM. If I fielded all my models, I could probably just barely break 30k.

Nice work Zammerak, good to see the Greenskins getting some Apoc love the old Armorcast Great Gargant is quite a piece, a mate of mine fields one time to time and its a clunker of a thing to move around!

Combining the other super heavies not in the shot, a few unmade kits and a couple of boxes of standard troops under the bed, I get to about 35,000. Havent added it all up officially mind.
