I'm hoping you guys could answer my dumb questions. So I've seen it say Simon Egan sculpts the primarch models. Can anyone enlighten me on this process? Does he start with a blob of modeling clay and work his way from there? How are the parts split up? Example the Horus model is standing on the eagle was he sculpted on the eagle to start with? How are the landscapes made? Ferrus' model had a bunch of really tiny pieces, where these sculpted seperatly? How are the iconography sculpted into the models? Like Horus' little wolf head on the leg portion.
I didn't know if this is the right place to post this?

Yep, as far as I'm aware all Forgeworld models are hand-sculpted. As for how each piece is made; depends on the piece - some are carved from sculpti-board (like a hard PVC foam), some are putty work (various putties). Some use parts cast from other kits etc.

It boils down to raw skill though.
