So I will be starting a new Flesh Tearers army so am looking at the decal sheet on BoLS. Just have a few questions though before I do anything rash . I will probs be using white decal paper.
1) where does one find the best sheets? There's plenty out there but I don't want to get something cheap if it's not going to work.
2) there are lots of things saying that Inkjet printed sheets need to be sealed before being applied. Is this necessary and if so how would one go about it efficiently?
That's all for now... Thanks in advance guys

1) I like http://craftycomputerpaper.co.uk/
2) You absolutely must seal if using an inkjet. Airbrushing 3-4 light coats of Klear / Future works well. You MUST let this cure fully (at least 48 hours in a dry, room temperature environment). For the sake of under £100, if you do a lot of decal stuff, then buying a colour laser printer saves considerable time, effort and potentially ruined sheets.

Testors makes a kit for ink-jet printers. They make a clear or white back-ground version so you need to choose based on the color that you applying the decal to. Printers don't have white ink so for white decals require a clear decal over a white background etc.
The decals are sealed with a spray that comes with the kit but even with multiple coats, too much water can cause issues like your decal ink to bleed etc. Printing multiple copies on the same sheet is a good practice and print it out on regular paper first to see how the size and detail look.
Overall, the process is a bit tricky. There are other options such as free-hand, decals from other types of models, and 3rd parties such as http://www.diecastanddecals.com/ .

Any spray on matte varnish will work. I use Testor's Dullcote myself.

Allright thanks, will check it out now. Would paint on varnish work or would that smear the ink?

Would likely smear the ink. Inkjet inks are relatively delicate. Spray vanishes are simple and avoid the risks. You also will get a more even coat (avoid wrinkling and what not) with a spray.
