I have some large games coming up so I figured I might try some formations out. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure where any space marine formations are. Do sm's, particularly salamanders, have any compatible with 7th ed formation slot? The only ones I can think of are in the apocalypse book which I hope to be picking up shortly, but not sure if those are only available for apocalypse games.

Yes, those are for Apocalypse only.

There's not many Formations for Space Marines and I know there's a list on here somewhere. But Strike Force Ultra (Terminators and Transports all grouped together for DS purposes), SeigeBreaker Cohort (Ironclad Dread and Assault Centurions against buildings), Reclusiam Command (crap), Storm Wing (flyers grouped together for Reserve purposes) and Saint Tylus (Ultramarines Cassius/Tyrannic Vets. Gives Ignores Cover, Infiltrating Stormtalons, Land Raider dedicated transports)

So unless you like an Air Force, they're all pretty much useless and none are for Salamanders specifically.
