Subject: Anyone know of a Skirmish game like this?

Hey all, my dad and I are looking for a skirmish game that fulfills the following criteria, and I have no idea if such a thing even exists.
-25mm
-Skirmish game (Mordheim, LotR, Infinity; One model "units"); This one is up for debate, units are ok.
-Uses hidden movement of some sort; Tokens instead of models until the enemy becomes "aware" of the threat. For example, say I have seven guys on my list; I get ten or so tokens (numbered, naturally) write down which guy is on which token, and then when that model fires or if the enemy is within so many inches, my model is revealed (If it was a model in the first place).
Naturally, this isn't specific, just an example.
-Preferably a futuristic setting, but any will do.
We really want a game that includes some deception, but neither of us know of any game in the 25mm scale that really have any. I told him I would ask you guys, but honestly I don't think this game exists...

Honestly, you can probably do this with any of the games you mentioned above. You could also try the Kill Team rules for 40K. We have a lot of fun with that and you could also apply hidden movement until in LOS.

Infinity has a fair amount of that with camo units.

What you are looking for is absolutely Infinity.
You don“t play with open lists, so you can have hidden deep-strikers or invisible models or camo-markers where only the player knows what they are actually representing or models that can disguise themselves as something else, be it more or less threatening.
Ariadna is the faction that specializes in this aspect but all armies can do it in a viable way too.

Welcome to Infinity and Camo Minelayers .
Models with Camo start the game as a Marker. If the have the Minelayer skill they also place a extra Marker with a mine under it. You can also place up tp 3 models (Not mines) "under" a Marker for a nasty surprise.
The Model (not the mine) can move and do anything that doesn't need a dice roll (stuff like Jump). When he finally attacks you replaces the Marker with the unit and give a extra penalty on top of the normal camo penalty to the enemy model your attacking. Then if no one can see your model he can recamo.

Infinity does sound like a good choice. I think Necromunda also had a scenario with this feature, but I can't think of it off hand.
However hidden figures until contact is made is a scenario/feature you could easily add to any game.

MERCS was recommended to me
I have watched a TON of stuff on mercs, cheap buy in.. I bought the rules today for $10
you only need 5 models to play....EVER
Here is the site:
http://store.megacongames.com/collections/mercs
Here is a video of people playing a small game of MERCS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhTdrkxnMrQ
Here is a channel dedicated to MERCS:
https://www.youtube.com/user/SnapToCover
Here is a demo on how to play:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7sxF49VySM
Here is some faction info:
https://guerrillaminiaturegames.wordpress.com/2011/07/09/games-i-like-mercs-faction-overview/
I was able to play a demo of infinity today, it was kind of difficult, it felt very gamey, but was fun. My mates liked MERCS better however, so we are starting that up instead.
Mercs is a relatively simple game, with clearly defined faction tactics, and neat little models. $65 buy in, and you are done, unless you want more
I ordered 3 starter factions from my FLGS.
Good luck, and whatever you pick.... HAVE FUN
Thanks
Austin

The Battlefield has what you're looking for. The standard spotting rules are easy to learn and implement but offer robust play options and tense situations. The spotting rules also create interesting pre-game strategy decisions in the form of how you will equip you troops. If you add the infantry decoy options found in the Black Ops sections of the book [which I would definitely recommend for you!], then the tension level is definitely cranked up and the tactical options become almost limitless.

Alien Vs Predator Sounds like it might be up your alley as well. It is scheduled to start shipping to Kickstarter backers early next year and retail shortly after.

Until you learn the core rules and start using real world tactics. Infinity will feel that way, you need to think like your playing a online FPS or your out playing Paintball.

Do you already have 40K? Do what my son and me use to do and will start doing again. Make your own game.
A few months ago me and my son played 40K and I modified the rules. He didn't want to do it but wanted me to do it.
It basically is, you move then your dad moves. You shoot then your dad shoots and then everyone assaults, basically like LotR. At the end of your turn everyone tally up the scoring.
If there is an objective marker in your deployment zone it's one point for you, 2 points for your dad. If there is an objective marker in your dads deployment zone, 1 point for him, 2 points for you. An objective marker in a neutral zone 2 points for everyone. This way you don't hide in your own zone and get points. It gives you incentive to grab those 2 points per turn.
I was thinking of using "blips" or counters but never gotten around for rules about when you show what they actually represent.
So if you have 40K stuff, just use the LotR rules and add to it. It's just you and your Dad, so go out and have lots of fun.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

I used to play 40k religiously for almost two decades, but the game has become something I don't like or want to support. Infinity I'd fun, but very deep, confusing, time consuming, etc. It is good, but the complexity factor turns many away which is a dowside.
Mercs is very unique. There is no other game like it that I have seen. It is quick, fast, pretty cheap (now with plastic starters at less than half the cost of the metal starters). Print and play cards, rules, etc. I'd suggest mercs to anyone as it is fast, fun, cheap, unique, etc.

Black Ops by Osprey will fit the bill nicely. The entire gimmick is stealth mechanics in a modern/near future setting. I have a review around here somewhere.
