On December 10, 2014 Painting Buddha Shares launched their first ever Indiegogo Campaign: Black Betty. Black Betty is sculpted by Hector Moran who is (un)known for his previous work with Kingdom Death, Relic Knights, Darklands and others. In this campaign, he has teamed up with a non-profit creator of very high quality painting videos, Painting Buddha Shares.

The project has been funded and the Level 1 stretch goals have been unlocked. The Indiegogo campaign runs through January 4, 2015.

Here is the official video from the Indiegogo campaign.

Below, Hector Moran discusses the ideas behind the Black Betty project with Painting Buddha Shares founder Michael Bartels.

“I do not know anything about Art with a capital A. What I do know about is my art. Because it concerns me. I do not speak for others. So I do not speak for things which profess to speak for others. My art, however, speaks for me. It lights my way.”

Not a big fan of it being on Indiegogo, and definitely not a huge fan of metal models in that scale. I'm still watching it, though!
