Hi folks.

These are some ideas I've had for an Iron Hands supplement for quite some time. I thought I would float them on Dakkadakka for a bit of feedback and for your entertainment.

I have quite an extensive Admech 'count as' force which, in 'by the books' games, I usually play as Iron Hands allied with Inquisition and/or Imperial guard. Also toying with Chaos & IA13 now as well. Yey! for FW!!

Anyway, the homebrew supplement has 3 unit types I'd really like to play and I think they sum up what an Iron Hands Admech co-op would feel like.

<<Due to not really understanding how serious IP stuff is and what format I can use in Dakkadakka, I put the full list on http://omnissiahschosen.yolasite.com/ instead - sorry if that's faux pas. The fluff is 100% original so that's below. I will post some pics soon too.>>

Omnissiah's Chosen:

The Omnissiah's Chosen is the name given to a contingent of unchaptered Space Marines serving within the Adeptus Mechanicum Explorator Expedition forces. They do not follow the doctrines of the codex astartes laid out by Roboute Guilliman and owe no fealty to the Imperium of Man other than complying with the decrees and agreements of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Chapter history:
The Omnissiah's Chosen history is closely linked with the Moirae exiles of the Iron Hands (and the formation of the Son's of Medusa chapter).
See: Son's of Medusa - http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Sons_of_Medusa

Contrary to the beliefs of the High Lords of Terra, the Moirae Schism created several factions within the Mechanicum and Iron Hand exiles.

Another interpretation of the Moirae Tech-creed includes reference to the discovery of a functioning STC database and the return to a glorious technological age. In this division of the Tech-creed, it is believed that the Eccleisarchy do not succeed in overthrowing the Priesthood of Mars. Rather, the 'fusion' or 'new age' is believed to prophesize the entirety of mankind witnessing the glory of the God-Emporer and Omnissiah in his truest and purest form - and worshipping him rightly as The Machine God.

The discovery of several STC data shards based on calculations put forth by the Moiraen mystics meant that the possibility could not be ignored. However, even this more favourable interpretation of the Moirae Tech-creed is not officially acknowledged by the Priesthood of Mars and not permitted on Mars or any other Forgeworld.

Followers of this ideology are only allowed to continue their analysis of the Astronomicon beacon attached to sanctioned Explorator Expeditions; and even before the founding of the Sons of Medusa, many of the Moirae exile Iron Hands had re-found their righteous purpose serving with these Explorator forces.

The Omnissiah's Chosen continue the traditions of the Iron Hands chapter. Aided by the Adeptus Mechanicus, they recruit from the lost Imperial worlds the Explorator Expedition visits, and from the Skittari military forces of the Explorator forge ship.
Of all the chapters of Space Marines, it is only the Sons of Medusa with which the Omnissiah's Chosen have limited dealings. Almost without exception, the Omnissiah's Chosen only leave the Mechanicum Forge ships when their military prowess is called upon by the Arch Magos Explorator. As such, their very existence is remains largely unknown and undocumented by the Imperium of Man.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Omnissiah's Chosen do not represent a full chapter - at best they number a little more than acompany in the largest of the Explorator Expiditions. They are, however, very well equipped and supported by auxiliary units such as Skittari and servitors. A detachment of Omnissiah's Chosen follows the Codex: Space Marines (Iron Hands chapter tactics) with the following exceptions:

• No Terminator squads (This is tradition passed down from the Clans which did not maintain 1st companies. Terminator armour was bestowed upon Veteran Sergeants only).
• No limit on number of Techmarines
• No limit of Relics of the Armoury (even if a Master of the Forge is not included in the detachment)

Additionally, the following units are available to the Omnissiah's Chosen:

• Tactical Squad with dedicated dreadnought
• Tech Priest / Skitarri Auxillia Support Units
• Techmarine Servitor Crews
• Grav Rhinos

It is not intended for use with the Clan Raukaan supplement.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, looking forward to your feedback. Cheers!

Huh. I'd need to see a bit more on the exact stats of the stuff like the Grav-Rhino and Skitarri Auxillia before I can comment, but its an interesting idea.
