I... actually don't know. Help?

I want to do Space Vikings.
Vikings need shields. Space Shields.

This is the kind I'm thinking about.

It may be easier to viking-ify a space bit than to space-ify a viking bit. Have you considered using Tau drones as a base? A suitable paintjob and something for the shield boss (a thin styrene disk and half an airsoft BB would be my method, but you may find a suitable bit that works, elsewhere) should give a decent "space shield" impression, I would think.

Yeah, that might work but hey, small clear base and some GS?

Chaos Marauders have similar shields. Won´t be a lot of fun to get rid of the chaos stuff on it though...

Both Wargames Factory and Gripping Beast makes cheap, plastic Vikings of good quality. I would suggest buying one or two boxes, since you can also use the heads and weapons (and not just the shields) to accesorize your Space Wolves.

From experience, GB Viking boxes have plenty of spare heads, so a dark ages player with an enthusiasm for big, cheap armies might have a few ready to sell or trade. Not sure about the shields, but similarly, Conquest Norman kits have enough bits to equip the figures with kite shields or round shields common to the period, and I'd guess a lot of players have a few of the latter to spare.

Although, depending on if that's actually what the OP wants, in his excitable explanation, some historicals suppliers sell metal dark age round shields. Dixons, Gripping Beast themselves, Essex, etc.

If you actually mean sci-fi shields, I dunno. Do Kromlech or Anvil or anyone make 'em?

But Vikings weren't celtic, and 'Scibor' is a wee bit overrated anyway...

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.
