Hello, I have a bit of a pickle figuring how to run my SM army.
Having theorethical possibility of fielding two 5 man Tactical Squad both in lascannon Razorbacks with triple-lascannon Predator or fielding one 10 man Tactical Squad in Rhino with two triple-lascannon Predators which one would you choose? (For the record that would give me either three 5 man and one 10 man squads or two 10 man and one 5 man squad)
And while we are at it what upgrades would you choose - two flamers for two squads or a heavy bolter for one bearing in mind that I will get IF tactics for fluff reasons.

I’m not a huge fan of the TLLC razors. You pay a lot of points for some nice guns on a fragile chassis. Plus it makes your role a little cloudy: charge forward to jump put and bolter things, or sit back and LC snipe?

With that in mind, I’d go for the full tac in a rhino, with the pair of preds. There are a lot of variables though. If you are playing maelstrom missions, the razor set up gives you more units, which is a perk.

As for what to give the squads, that depends a lot on the rest of the list. While I generally field the same two (ML/F, MM/M) tac squads are a good place to help shore up weaknesses in the rest of your list. So if you are light an AV fire, go melta, etc.

I would go with the 10 man squadi n a rhino and 2 predators. The rhino will give you firing points for your squad weapons and the predators are a little more survivable than the lasback. Also a 5 man tac squad isn't going to do a whole lot. the abundance f AP3 weapons means that 5 wounds wont be hard to take out so keeping them in a 10 man unit will be a stronger choice in most situations. I fail to see how your second option gives you more than a single 10 man tac squad and 2 predators.

What do you mean exactly
Both options are nearly the same - I get 25 marines either way. The points shaving is one the Razorbacks with lascannons (two Razorbacks with lascannon upgrade is 10 points more than a Predator with triple-las) and since I have some points leftover I can afford to take a second Rhino.

Depends on the rest of your army. Min troops is fine if you are confidently going to annihilate the opponents ability to respond.
