I'm coming back from uni to play my first game of warhammer in a few months, and as neither of us have the rulebook we'll be playing with 6th edition rules.

How does this sound?

HQ-
Farseer: Runes of Witnessing, The Wraithforge Stone_145
Spirtseer: Spear of Teuthlas, Guardian Help of Xellethon_ 100
Spritseer_ 70

Troops_
10 Guardian Defenders: Shuriken Cannon_ 105
3 Windrider Jetbikes: Shuriken Cannon_ 61
3 Windrider Jetbikes: Shuriken Cannon_ 61
5 Wraithguard: D-Scythes, Wave serpent: Scatter Lasers_ 330
5 Wraithblades: Ghostaxes and Force shields_ 160

Fast Attack_
8 Warp Spiders: 152

Heavy Support_
3 War Walkers: Bright Lances_ 210
Night Spinner: Crystal Targeting Matrix_ 140
Wraithlord: Two Bright Lances, Two Flamers, Ghostglaive_ 165
Wraithknight: Suncannon and Scattershield, Scatter Laser_ 300

Just noting that I own every model apart from the wraithknight which I should be getting over the weekend providing they have one in store.

Okay so the farseer shadows the wraithknight and wraithlord and buffs them with powers, using the stone to heal wounds.
Helmseer goes with the ghost axes which will footslog towards units that move forwards eg stealth suits and battlesuits.
The other seer goes with the D-Scythes which go warlord hunting and strong things hunting.
War walkers hit vehicles and any high armour that wanders around.
Nightspinner hits pathfinders or Kroot. The guardians backfield objective holders, the jetbikes hold the sides and the warp spiders mop up the leftovers...

Any comments? Thoughts? Ideas?

Cheers

You'll probably be best attaching the Farseer to a unit, if left on his own he'll get picked off too easily.

The Wraithaxes might struggle to catch any unit, as they don't have a transport. Lacking a transport could mean they spend the game chasing after units rather than earning their points back. Running Iyanden (as you're obviously doing) alleviates that slightly with giving them Fleet via the swapped Runes of Battle Primaris (at least I think it does?).

The jetbikes shouldn't be relied upon to hold any flank - 3W T4 3+ is not hard to remove - avoid conflict with them and grab objectives in the last turn.

Yeah I would probably throw her in with the guardians, but to be honest usually my opponent forgets about her just sat at the back out of reach... And also she needs to stay mobile-ish to keep with the wraithknight to restore its health.
Ah, I poorly worded the wraithblades, I mean more like an aggressive defence that moves forwards to intercept things like deep striking suits and sneaky stealth suits, or even sits on an objective to just clonk down on it.
Yeah the jetbikes do seem pretty bad at that role. I think they suit zipping around to get last minute objectives and softening up things like kroot... Who will be a primary target because their sniper rounds will mush my wraithknight!!!
I got my wraithknight yesterday, I had awful problems with making the legs... Anyone else suffer from that horror?

Firstly, welcome back from uni! Now what i would do is drop the Guardians for a transport for the axes, and mould the two Jetbike squads together. Also, Fire Prisms over Night Spinners. I noticed that you use Tau examples so im assuming you play against Tau often. Make the Wraithknight tango with the Riptides and that's about it. Pretty solid list overall.

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!

Aha, a bit premature my friend, I'm not home till thursday.
Right I think I have another Wave serpent 'Shell' as it were so i might be able to get them a transport, but then I don't have anything for backfield? Is that too risky or does it not really matter that much?
I always wonder about molding jetbike squads, but people seem to favour two sets of three rather than one of six... And yeah the Night Spinner is for the ignoring cover to go and mulch up pathfinders before my entire army becomes a living markerlight...
Yeah my cousin plays tau and I play with him the most really, don't know any other players xD I occasionally go to a club with him though... He doesn't have riptides though so its all okay, it's his fecking Kroot i get scared about... He has sixty of the fiends. I also bought him vespids for christmas and don't really know much about them... They're heavy infantry killers right?
