Just kinda curious to see or hear what people have played or are saying about OP1. I'm supposed to play it this weekend, and right now, I'm thinking two blue dragons to just sit back and snipe. Not gonna work all that well against a swarm list, but... I like blue dragons.

How did it go?
Two blues isn't inherently bad - you can handle swarms, you just need to lay the 'beam' across multiple targets to do enough damage.
I need to figure out a couple of lists for ours (starting next month) - we're using 130 point legions, so I'm figuring that'll be two, maybe three dragons - maybe four if all unnamed.
My better half wants to use the three different chromatic dragons, so I'm thinking:
Claugilyamatar - Poison Breath
Eshaedra - Lightning Breath, System Shock, Devotrix of Tiamat, Magic Missle
Adult Red Dragon - Flame Breath
A 'heavy' dragon and a lighter flanker, plus what is currently the biggest gun in the game. Two cones should make a nice mess of any troops, and Eshaedra can bring down most big things in one shot.
I'll probably end up using mostly metallics for something different:
Galadaeros - Acid Breath, Aerobat Amulet, Trickster, Blur, Magic Missile
Eshaedra - Lightning Breath, Devotrix of Tiamat
Adult Copper - Slow Breath, Hidecarved Scales
Ideally, I'd like to use purely metallics - get another core set and field a third copper - but I don't know how to make up the points. The fact that generic copper dragons have only two upgrade slots doesn't help...
Possible idea:
Adult Copper - Acid Breath, Hidecarved Scales
Adult Copper - Acid Breath, Hidecarved Scales
Adult Copper - Acid Breath
Adult Copper - Slow Breath
...that'd need two more core sets, though, and I'm not convinced about my ability to manouvre four large based models around without crashing into something...
Any ideas for a metallic force at 130 points are more than welcome.
One thing to note - I'm only using the dragons. There are other units taking part - one guy is aiming to use a pure Frost Giant force, whilst another is going for the elven troop, ballista, and either a mage or a copper dragon. With plenty of non-dragons around, armour should actually matter - hence the hidecarved scales.
Does anyone have much experience with the copper dragons?

How did it go? I won a White Dragon.
The list that gave me the most trouble was a Copper and Green dragon list that was fully buffed up (like max upgrades on EVERYTHING). When you are willing to pay the points, two breath weapons on a dragon is just NASTY. My general strategy was to set up both dragons fairly far apart, and then fly them to a point on the table that would get into range 4-5 and unleash both breath weapons on my opponent's Big Bad Guy (Lord Max, or a fully buffed up Lord Balagoes, etc.). It worked very well, until the Copper and Green popped Invisibility right off the bat, then hit Esa with a Lightning Breath and System Shock. Lucky for me, I had Prayer of Life, and after we overshot each other, I was able to do some fancy maneuvering, pop Prayer of Life, and take out his Green Dragon. That Copper Dragon though.... the game went to time and I won. I had a plane Wrath as well that was just running around on the board collecting scenario Tokens. Worked fairly well for me.
I never faced the dreaded Ballesta/ Frost Giant list. What I did see a lot of was Lord Max- like in almost every list. And they all had Swift Strike, Create Spawn, and 1-2 of the other upgrades. Lord Max... is a very powerful model. I'd say "almost" OP right now.
The White Dragon is a sweet model, and has some great upgrades. I love the fact his main play style will be to overfly his target with his white 6, and then use Tail Swipe for a Range 3 cone attack in it's rear arc.

Well done! Any advice from the games is muchly welcomed!
Just the two dragons? How many points was it?
I've been wondering about that. 3-dice breath weapons just seem...a bit wimpy. Maybe I'm looking too longingly at the evil dragons. I dunno.
I'm also not sure about invisibility. Is it really that much better than shield?
I like the idea of using galadaeros as a proper dogfighter - hence the aerobat amulet. The problem with using a green is simple: I only have one, and my other half has first call on it. I'm sure I can get a second one though; two named 'dogfighters' sounds like a nice idea. Our games are 130 points - what size did you play?
For the white - it's definitely a melee dragon, but i'm seesawing between close quarters/haste (six attacks a round!), tail sweep (as you said) and wingstorm (oh look, a blob of infantry units!)

...Right. Had a quick mess around moving things on a board and I think I'm going to go with:
Galadaeros - Acid Breath, Aerobat Amulet, Trickster, Blur
Eshaedra - Lightning Breath, Devotrix of Tiamat
Adult Copper - Slow Breath, Hidecarved Scales
I considered pushing points around and using an Adult Red Dragon instead of Eshaedra, but the 'bolt' breath weapons seem easier to use than the cones. Fire breath is devastating but in a furball I can see myself being unable to use it at a critical moment without flambee-ing one of the cheap copper dragons...
The four coppers is still tempting but not unless I can persuade someone to split the box with me.
