I've been eyeing up some CSM to go with my Daemons. I'm a Nurgle fanboy, so I've always liked the idea of a Chaos Lord on a Bike with Nurgle Bikers, bikes with T6 and fast Chaos stuff is exciting. I know they used to be a big norm of CSM players to bring, but obviously the changes to jink made them less great at shooting.

Are Nurgle Bikers still decent to take? How about kitting them out, just Assault gear or is grabbing some Meltas/Plasmas still cool?

T6 3+/5++ bikers will always be good! You can do all sorts of stuff. Take a sorcerer, take a lord. Artifacts are great! Make sure to take 2X special weapons. All depends on what you are looking for. What does your Chaos Daemon army lack that the bikers could bring? Probably anti-armor. I'd give em 2X Melta guns.

Lacking Anti-armor and any sort of shooting at all. I don't have Soul Grinders, so any CSM I would bring would likely be Bikers, then Oblits/Havocs or similar to give range support to what I have.

I don't think they get FnP :(
I guess if the sorc rolls on biomancy he can give the unit endurance though?

I find rolling on Telepathy is better as you get the chance for Invis as well as shrouding for a 2+ jink. Both are great so you have a higher chance of getting something useful.
Psychic Shriek is awesome too.

When I used mine they were equipped with dual meltaguns and a melta bomb though. 5 is a pretty good number, not a huge unit so shouldn't really be focused and even if they are they are pretty beefy.
Decently cheap points wise

Of course, I have Be'lakor, a GUO, and some Princes, so likely I'd take a Bike Lord instead of the Sorcerer, as I probably have enough capability for Psychic dice and Be'lakor has the guaranteed Invis.

They don't, and it's a shame there are no plague bikers.

Yeah, but it can be rough when you roll for something else. Iron Arm and Endurance only work on the psyker, Haemorrhage is only going to work against low T guys.

Agreed.

Instead of Nurgle bikers, I used to take MoS bikers with the Icon of Excess. They do get FNP and get to hit first to boot. It's something to consider, the FNP seemed to be more valuable than the increased toughness. I remember someone posting some mathhammer saying that IoE was statistically better +1 T, but only barely. The reason to really consider this is the +1 I is always useful in assaults and you will always get it.

Another thing I found useful, get meltas not plasma. The worst thing that can happen to bikers is getting tarpitted by a walker. Bikers move so far they are just about always in melta range.

Endurance targets a friendly unit within 24". Dude can target the biker unit that he is part of and everyone gets it.

Well if you are able to roll for endurance, then yes...It will make Nurgle bikers much better than Slaanesh bikes with a icon.

Well I usually run a GUO with Prince or two, that's enough rolls on Biomancy where getting Endurance is pretty likely.

Endurance on Nurgle Bikers is beastly, had the champion beat up a bloodthirster once through good luck. I run them with an unmarked Sorcerer on Biomancy, so I get three good choices and the Primaris in case I feel the need to smite my enemies.
